LIVE and OBSERVE

As a CLL patient the past 6 years and reading this encouraging and productive forum the past 3 years, I keep hearing the words WATCH and WAIT. It's about time everyone with this blood disorder whether you are in treatment or not have the medical profession embrace 3 better words LIVE and OBSERVE for all of us. Positive words help us all as we navigate our lives with this disease. We all know our best defense is keeping your immune system strong, we understand it's tricky. As one CLL patient said to me " There is no special diet or regimen to keeping our immune system strong. Our doctors tell us to eat well and exercise. We are cautioned about boosting our immune system because it is already off balance" I'm interested in what others have to say about boosting your immune system and what is working for you. I applaud everyone fighting with this disease, it's a great forum seeing we all share, we all support and we all LIVE and OBSERVE in our quest for a healthy tomorrow.

Live and observe is a great term. Watchful waiting is another. IMO, any regimen that keeps the healthy actions part of every day is good.

While I personally don't use organic food or a special diet for CLL, I am a long time weight watcher, and former athlete, so discipline and focus is essential to long term health, CLL is just another challenge.

The current term is active surveillance... watch and wait is failing out of use at least in the medical profession...

I like Live and Observe better... 😀

Active surveillance sounds like a police undercover operation.

I like Live and observe much better than watch and wait, when I hear the words watch and wait i think in my mind "watch and wait what's going to happen to me". It gives me so much anxiety. I like yours better☺

I like Live and Observe - anything with "Live" in it sets a better mindset. It's somewhat close to Live and Learn, which connotes surviving something negative, yet benefiting from the experience.
