I have seen several references to the benefits of turmeric- vital ingredient curcumin - for CLL. It is also recommended for arthritis. BUT when I check it out one product site says
"If you are taking any blood-thinning medication, such as warfarin or heparin, consult with your doctor before taking turmeric as it has been shown to decrease blood platelet aggregation (blood clotting)." So I am wondering about the blood clotting - ?
Any thoughts folks?
Thanks!

I have juiced Tumeric in my OJ. I also drink a lot of high quality green tea.
I like the Rishi super macha brand.
I am in imbruvica so blood thinning can be a concern.
In general eating and drinking things are more safe than supplements because the body has a better ability to modulate them as they are digested whole.
Interesting. I'll have to ask my cardiologist next time I see him. Keeping my Coumadin level in the right range has been a sufficient challenge, without complicating things more than they already are
PK you should talk to your cardio about the XA factor inhibitors. The second generations are pretty good and don't require dose adjusting.
The only down side from my experience is tbere is no antidote, so that can be problematic at times, but usually 3 days succession thickens the blood to normal clotting levels.
