Hi, Can one with cll never get syptoms and never have treatment? Thanks!

CLL is very variable, but I was diagnosed 12 years ago, others I have read were diagnosed 25+ years ago and still no treatment...

Depends upon many things, genetic make up etc etc...

And again symptoms are highly variable, from almost nothing to extreme fatigue..

All one can say is to wish you luck..!!

About 30%... usually older patients 70+

I asked my doctor - after seeing him regularly for 6 years and getting another "come back in 6 months" decision. He said about 25% of patients never get treated. It was a luck thing.

I was told by a CLL Dr a year or so ago that they find there are two types of people with CLL:

1 - There are those that die from having it.

2 - There are those that die with it.

So I suppose the answer to your question is yes & I don't need to tell you which I'm aiming to be.
