The last few days I have had some minor lower intestinal discomfort, more recently (last two days) I have noticed a fair amount of blood in / on my stools. Anyone know if this is related to CLL , or am I being a paranoid CLL patient?

Paul, see a doctor as soon as possible. Blood in/on stools can be serious and needs checking out. Doesn't matter if it's CLL related or not, still needs checking. Could just be something like piles, but you never know... especially if you've got lower intestinal discomfort as well.
Wishing you well,
Paula
Paul, we need to remember that when we have CLL, we don't stop having other medical issues. We are prone to the same health problems as others plus a higher risk of secondary cancers, though it's natural to think that any new symptom is CLL related - done it myself.
Get yourself checked out by your doctor. If the blood is an obvious red which it sounds to be from your post, then the bleed is from towards the end of your intestine which ties in with your discomfort; higher up it has a tarry black appearance (layman's simplification). You should mention that you have CLL and therefore have the associated reduced immunity when you see your doctor.
I hope you can find out what the cause is fairly quickly and that it is nothing serious.

Short of your issue being obviously connected to hemorrhoids (determined by your doctor!) a colonoscopy is probably in order. Please don't wait! Get into your doctor now! Seriously, it could mean the difference between a minor issue or something really major if you wait and it gets out of hand.
If you do have a colonoscopy and the bleeding source is polyps, ask about having a couple of extra biopsies of the colon wall done to determine if there are CLL cells there. My gastroenterologist always does that. Might as well get the most bang for your buck, or pound, or whatever currency you use.

No this could be related.
This was how my CLL was detected. I had exactly the same symptoms. Go to your doctor now.
I waited from november to february and the intestine was nearly "closed" due to CLL infiltrations of the intestines.
No one believed it to be CLL because it is rare, but biopsies (sorry for my spelling) showed it was CLL.
It was my only symthom and WBC was only 30.
