Statins any effect on CLL

Hi all my GP wants to put me on statins I tried years ago but could not take the side effects aching in every joint ,says new ones now to try ,just wondered if they affect CLL in anyway good ,bad or no effect ,thanks alan .p.s I'm 1 year W & W.

There was a study at the Mayo of Statins and NSAIDS and they were found not to effect CLL in early stage patients

Statins used in combination with purine analogs, like fludarabine, made them work better
