Bone marrow transplant on the cards

Meeting with a BMT consultant yesterday. Nice chap. Laid it all on the line warts and all.

6-9 months for the Ibutrinin to do it's job then in for BMT.

Good news is that I will only be in 4 weeks and can more or less choose when it's best for me to start.

Sisters tissue is done, mine is not ready but should know by end of the week. If no match then they go to the 25 million global database which will take about 3 months.

Lots of drugs after BMT and 13 weeks of weekly visits to hospital.

There are risks of course but more to loose by not doing this.

Best of luck I'm surprised as I felt they were going away from bmt.

All the best x

I have P53 deletion and with age on my side it's the best option

Good luck with everything - I do hope your sister is a perfect match, and if not that you can find one on the database.

Ok, Are your starting to progress ?

WBC rocketed up so joined FLAIR trial but they missed that I had p53 missing. Luckily ibrutinib had been randomised for me so will remain on that until WBC back down and then have the transplant

Ok.

I am 17 p deleted but stay on my imbruvica plus Venetoclax until I progress since I am treatment naive before the trial.

Treatment naive people usually do better longer. Hopefully that will be the case for me.

I was on WW but had to do treatment after a year because of rapidly growing nodes.

Cll society web site has been helpful for me as well.

Be well.
