I've just started my third session of FCR and haven't been prescribed my gout medication, Allopurinol this time. My nurse says I only take for the first two sessions. I'm sure I read some people take this all the way through and after. Unless I'm thinking of something else.
Best wishes everyone.

Thanks Bethan49 I will ask, I would normally take their word for it but yesterday when they were dishing out the tablets one nurse told me I could take domperidone as i liked and then another said no only 7 days as it can cause complications.
Me. Only had to take it cycle one when the major reduction of lympocyctes takes place. If your numbers are now low that may be the reason. One less pill to take yippee!
Allopurinol is used initially in treatment to control tumour lysis syndrome... too much uric acid and other chemicals in the blood from dying B cells.
Once out of the danger zone it might be suspended, but it varies from patient to patient and depends on other factor like kidney clearance and hydration levels etc...
