Hearing loss

I have had fairly rapid onset hearing loss starting around month 6 of ibrutinib treatment, now in my ninth month. Has anyone else experienced this, or is it my 80 years of age?

I can't answer either of those questions, but I hope you have contacted your Dr. about the loss. I see that you have had some allergic reactions. Could this be an allergic reaction of a kind you haven't had?

Seeing the Dr. the sooner the better, would be my stance.

ENT made the diagnosis, was unaware of an ibrutinib connection, but actually suggested a post to see if any others on ibrutinib had had a similar reaction. It is mostlikely old age, though.

Will your ears pop if you pinch your nose and blow?

Could be allergies or sinus issues too.

As part of the audiolgy exam, the middle ear appartatus was checked out and passed with flying colors. What I have is seen with aging, my main concern was the accelerated course.
