Has anyone had bone and muscle pain after taking imbruvica? I've had quite serious pain since being on imbruvica for 2 months. What can I do fro this? Thanks Berdine

You need to consult your doctor... this has been reported by Imbruvica (ibrutinib) patients.

I started Ibrutinib 3 tabs per day in June 2014. Immediately my right knee, then wrist and so on swelled. Each day things would be different. Many days I could play golf or tennis, but sometimes I had to wait a week for a body part to recover. Sometimes the pain would only last 12 hours. This went on until January 2015. One day I could barely walk. Actually I was also severely neutropenic then. Two weeks later I started on 2 tabs per day. In March I developed colitis, and now I am not taking it any more, because ibrutinib probably caused that. So in terms of your pain, it does happen and it may never go away, but it constantly deviated for me to different parts of the body. I called it arthralgia. Which I think is pretty accurate. Worth it though for the control of CLL. Good luck.
Yes, I have been on Ibrutinib for 2 years and experience the bone and muscle pain you describe. I can manage the pain mostly with tylenol, but have had to see a physical therapist when my right knee developed arthritis- something I never had before. The physical therapy worked, but you have to be faithful doing the exercises. Prayers for you in your pain, and hope you find a solution.
My husband has been on imbruvica about a year. He has a lot of bone and muscle pain also. He tried some gabapentin to help with muscle cramps but has now stopped taking it. It helped the muscle cramps but he did not like how it made him feel. The good does outweigh the bad so.....
