MRD results

For anyone struggling with chemo or needing to know its all worth it I have just had my Scan/BM Biopsy results having finished chemo 4 months ago.

Complete MRD negative, I have struggled with chemo but it seems to have been a good choice for me.

I keep staring at the words "No CLL cells found"

It feels great when you get that news...for me too Altho I'm still suffering with side effects ie neuropathic pain. So was chemo worth it? I sometimes wonder as neuropathy takes a long to to heal. And may never fully heal...I'm being managed by a pain clinic with pain patches.... But no cancer cells at the mo. Next bloods in November.

Each day is a good day to enjoy thats how I feel.

Long may you enjoy being free of CLL.

Thrilled for you.

Hi Grizzlebear, I've been following your posts with interest, not least because you are being looked after by the Prof in Leicester (as I am) and ultimately (and quickly) had to take the FCR path despite initially been offered a trial. So in the end FCR was the right choice for you, given your results.

So very, very pleased for you. I think Louise would agree that we are well looked after in Leicester. Take care and keep in touch.

Thanks all, yes Fieldmeadow you are spot on ! The team at leicester are fantastic and from the very moment the Proff took over my care i have had the best treatment i could wish for. I still have the scars of chemo , nausea and fatigue but they lessen as the months pass. I owe my life to the whole team at Leicester.
