Hi Ririza, not yet.. but we have just found out that our 8 month old daughter needs a liver transplant so I’m also keen to connect with people on a similar journey, especially those who have already had the procedure. Wishing you well in your journey
Hi.. my daughter had the Kasai procedure but hasn’t been told for LT, but I know in the same hospital of a little girl who went through liver transplant at 6 months of age and she is recovering perfectly. I’m touch with her mom and all vitals looks good after 3 months of her surgery. Wishing all the very best for your child as well. God bless 🙏🏻
HiMy son had a liver transplant when he was 5months old. Incredibly scary and hard time. But he is now 6yrs old and healthy. He lives life like any other 6yr old with a few hospital appointments for monitoring! Absolutely amazing. I hope this is encouraging.
My daughter had a liver transplant over a year ago and is doing well. She was 6 months old at the time. Lots of medication to administer daily but she is growing and energetic and doing well. A few trips back to hospital but nothing that’s kept her overnight. The transplant days were difficult but it saved her life!
Thanks everyone, really encouraging to hear your stories
My 2yr old niece just had a liver transplant (her Dad was the donor) 5 days ago in Marseille, France. It’s a tough surgery for everyone involved, but they are both recovering well, so far. She has/had Biliary Atresia- diagnosed, late, at 2mo old. She had the Kasai procedure done immediately in Marseille after her diagnosis. She didn’t have any problems after the Kasai, but her liver was damaged and became too hard, this year. I wish everyone luck with this terrible disease.
