Chances of liver disease in subsequent child

Dear parents, our first child had BA, underwent kasai but could not survive after 4 months of age. As we are thinking forward to plan our next child, we are scared if similar disease can repeat. Would like to hear from parents with similar experiences.

We have twin kids, only one kid is having biliary atresia, other child is normal,our doctor also told biliary atresia is not a hereditary disease...so you can plan for next child...

During our hospital stay,I met one patient party,they also had twin kids with one is having biliary atresia and other child is normal,before twins they have one more son,who is also normal....

If you have any doubts, contact Rela hospital, Chennai...Dr Mohamed Rela and Dr Priya Ramachandran...they are experts in liver disease...Dr Priya madam is number one Dr for biliary atresia..
