I've been on this (maximum) dose for over 18 months now.......I am on a plethora of drugs for my CVD after 10 stents, and am now maxed out on most of them. I might just be fortunate that i don't seem to experiance any side effects, except for the fact that i'm permanently tired, but can't sleep!!!! My cardiologist says it's not the pills!!!!!!!!!!
Did the Dr tell you why he upped your dosage? Have you been back to your surgeon to discuss drug therapy with him? Are you due to see him again? If so, i would list a set of questions that you want to discuss with him and see what he says.
my b/p was high, and having angina a lot, and very tired.. since they upped my nicorandil my b/p has gone down. but still have angina a bit. surgeon says problem has been fixed!! and when i get chest pains to take painkillers??????
see surgeon again in august, and will ask about drug therapy.
One problem I had with Nicorandil was the development of an anal fistulae, which required surgery. I now know what a birthing mother feels like as I was in stirrups and with all displayed
