Hello. Two weeks back I was infected with Dengue Virus with fever and was hospitalised for 5 days. Due to continuous fever, the doctor stopped me the regular taking Arvast 10 mg Cholesterol lowering medicine. After I was discharged from hospital and I was followed up with doctor after one week of home rest, my Lipid Profile was increasing drasticallyCholesterol :226 mg/dl

Triglycerides:234

LDL: 139

HDL: 40

My Liver function test after dengue infection was raised to SGPT to 92 and SGOT to 69. So the doctor advised me not to take cholesterol medicine until my SGPT and SGOT subside to normal values.

I will be doing blood test after two weeks for wait and watch about my liver function.

Any thoughts please from your side? I am taking any statin now and I am worried if heart attack comes.
