After stopping statins do side effects get a bit worse before they get better. Was on 20mg Atorvastatin for several years. Already written a post but not sure if it went through cos I'd only just signed up.

Your post came through. There is something called a 'rebound effect' that caused medical conditions that were previously being suppressed by medications to come back stronger temporarily - such as your cholesterol level. Read my answer to your original question.
