Hi my levels tend to fluctuate quite a bit but HDL is nearly always around 2-2.6. Ratio's are good but HDL seems high. I'm 37 & work out regularly and eat healthy but include a lot of avocados, nuts & various seeds.
Thanks

sorry, I was just concerned that HDL level was high, I'm aware that over 60 is seen as beneficial but had seen other reports that suggested higher than 60 was possibly of no benefit or even a bit risky, so wondered if I was perhaps needing to cut back on some of my fats. thanks
HDL is good - it is a scavenger of LDL. The fact that your HDL is higher than your LDL is remarkable and impressive. Your total cholesterol number is of no relevance - it is the composition among the components that matter.
Triglycerides are acceptable but optimally should be lower. Try eating less sugar in all of its forms - white pasta, white bread, white pizza dough, white rice. Eliminate soft drinks, the diet variety as well. Limit alcohol to one 5 oz glass of red wine per day.
Overall you're doing great - keep up whatever it is you were doing.

As we age the cholesterol numbers can play up!, therefore if you can control the numbers and keep a eye on it by yearly test on NHS or private to avoid any medication.
