Please note continuing research on cholesterol is leading me to a lot of new areas! Have been doing a lot of online course to get better knowledge on medication and problems with medication.
The material in this link discuss sulfur!
The document many pages with very clear explanation.
Please do not delete this post because the information is very different to what has been on offer!
Thank you.
I have a lot of time for Dr Senner having first seen her interview by Dr Mercola. Its a pity we are all so obsessed with Cholesterol levels to the exclusion of other probably more important factors. Would have loved to have attended her London lecture.
The best and most ideal way to obtain sulfur is through your diet. Sulfur is derived almost exclusively from dietary protein, such as fish and high-quality (organic and/or grass-fed/pastured) beef and poultry. Meat and fish are considered "complete" as they contain all the sulfur-containing amino acids you need to produce new protein. Needless to say, those who abstain from animal protein are placing themselves at far greater risk of sulfur deficiency.
Other dietary sources that contain small amounts of sulfur include:
Organic pastured eggsLegumesGarlicOnion
Brussel sproutsAsparagusKaleWheat germ
Note the link in Senners sheets between Homocysteine, Vegitarianism Sulphur and Heart disease. I would suggest finding out what your Homocysteine level is and whether you are B12 deficient especially if you are not a meat eater. If your Homocysteine levels are high then it is easily solvable with B2 B6 B12 and folate as a combined supplement
Perhaps that is why my husband's family all have low blood pressure as they live on onions. A very interesting article.
Thank you. I strongly believe that we need to look at both side of cholesterol.
Our body needs cholesterol therefore why do we need to control it.
By the way I eat tomatoes and onion salad with sea salt and vinegar for lunch and it helps me in many ways including summer allergy!
