What numbers did you get from your blood test?

Please Google fruits high in potassium and avid them for a while.

Another starting point can be food intake control and regular exercise.

What are your other numbers? Blood pressure and Blood glucose?

only your lipid consultant can give you this unless you go private

Sadly here in the UK you cannot access this kind of test unless you go private.

You are a lucky customer, my lipid consultant discharged me because I would not take statins. I had to make a formal complaint through my local MP

Have also been trying and succeeding to loose weight not by dieting but changing lifestyle and eating habits. Have been overweight most of my life but having lost over 2 stone in a couple of months never felt better. Try using myfitnesspal, it's an app for mobiles or pads. There are some great links and the food diary which is easy to use gets you in good habits and will automatically increase your calories allowed from any exercise you do even walking. It's a great motivator.

Cook from scratch if you can, and make your diet varied and natural, although you may need to limit certain foods.

Avoid sugar and 'white' foods as much as possible (white bread, breakfast cereals etc), as they affect cholesterol levels badly and cause weight gain.

Thank you for the information, as you can see it's complicated

One life and it is complicated! Food intake control, knowing what to eat and regular exercise and help us to lead to healthy life style.

Enjoy life do not worry about size.

Good luck with it all. I hope your doctor was helpful, perhaps you could ask to be referred to a dietician?

There has been discussion on LCHF food intake. If you consider it is working for you, could you please give examples of breakfast, lunch and dinner from the link information.

Thanks.
