What are your cholesterol numbers? BP? blood glucose? any medication?

I am afraid I have to be very careful in what I say under the new guide lines.! Please check with your GP practice or chemist.

Its my son he has been suffering with pains in the head for about three weeks now,he has tried every pain killer but they don't work. he has had his blood checked its come back saying he has high cholesterol and all other counts are fine, that's why I am asking does it cause headaches.

Mine is off the charts from my last visit. I have never experienced headaches with my high levels. That doesn't mean it's not linked tho. I get a minor one if I run out of bp meds till I refill them. But that's me. Could have adverse effects on others. I was curious tho regarding ur bp. Just a thought. Peace

Please consult your GP to do more checks to identify the headache problems.

As a retired person with elevated cholesterol, I am afraid I am unable to answer the question on high cholesterol and headaches.

Any incident in a playing field or a fall?

Any stress or change in food intake or environmental change at home or work place?

I've had both high cholesterol and high blood pressure but neither has caused me headaches. I believe it is quite normal to have these conditions without having any other indications. That's why all adults, certainly above 30, should have tests either by having a blood sample and blood pressure taken arranged by their doctors surgery.

Both my father & I had/have very occassional migrains (pretty flashy lights :) ) and although I don't know what his CH levels were, his physical symptoms (arcus, CH deposits, lumpy tendons, etc) implies that they were probably as high as mine were.

What I don't know is if there was a link between the two.
