Cholesterol still high, why?

Despite following all the rules about diet & exercise, my LDL levels are 4.5, & my HDL 2. I can`t understand why. I`m female, 61, non smoker with a family history of heart disease, & I`m scared stiff despite the practice nurse telling me that it`s no big deal. I tried statins, but they didn`t suit me. What else can i do?

Hi,

Results of 24-hour BP monitoring, ALL OK, good news.

According to the graph, the afternoon reading was a bit high!, nothing to worry about, cholesterol levels are all OK.

I've only just seen this post, I'm glad your wife's BP is good!
