Had Angiogram!

Hello everyone

Hope you are all well. Had my angiogram yesterday and all went well. Apparently I have a "healthy heart" which is fantastic news and was told any problems I have are not related to my heart. Have a little plaque but was told to go off and live healthily. On leaving the hospital and reading the Cardiac Catheterisation Report they mentioned minor atheroma with BMI of 32.58. Obviously I know this BMI is not healthy (need to work on that and will), but whilst very pleased with results I felt I would have liked more discussion with the doctor when he came to chat after the procedure, but seemed in a desperate hurry and he was therefore in and out in two minutes. However received outpatient letter this morning for October and will discuss then. Bottom line of course is that I am ok. Now have to start exercising more and eat healthily (not so much low fat as I've always done) but that's another story. More research I suppose on transfats etc etc.

Thanks Yvonne, been reading the dietdoctor.com stuff. Wow is all I can say. All my years of eating wrong!! Well maybe now I can truly improve my health and change everything I've ever eaten in the past. Fingers crossed and back to the drawing board.
