help! what food is high in cholesterol... - Cholesterol Support
help! what food is high in cholesterol? high in blood sugar? and should be avoided. What can I eat?!!
Eat fresh food, lots of different vegetables, not too much fruit, avoid processed food and added sugars. The fibre will help keep blood sugar stable. If you need carbs, go for the complex ones, like sweet potato. I don't eat low fat products because they are often loaded with sugar. Make sure you are having enough omega 3 and avoid hygogenated fats/ transfats.
To reduce your total cholesterol levels take more exercise and eat less saturated fat but increase your consumption of oily fish, oats, garlic etc. For full details check out the HEART UK website.
Eating saturated fats may raise your cholesterol levels slightly but does not contribute to CVD. ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/219...
It is my understanding that increased levels of low density lipoproteins DO increase the risk of DVD and eating saturated fats is proven to raise LDL levels, so I must beg to disagree with you Penel.
Hi Wyvon
The research I've found has the damaging small dense LDL particles being increased by eating high GI food, especially sugar.
I have been there and done it with statins and diet statins have caused so much trouble health wise if you get side effects try intermittent fasting for 2 months get your results before and after the 2 months dont take anything else and watch your results come down articles.mercola.com/sites/...

I eat between 11am and 7pm every day once a week i have a break and the only thing i take is ubiquinol to repair the damage that statins have done to my bones good luck everyone please pass this on to anyone you know who takes statins or has taken them and had side effects
The fructose element seems to be particularly bad, but refined carbs generally aren't good either! ( as you have said in your posts).
