Everything low or no fat but don't replace with sugar. Look for diet ideas from slimming world and weight watchers. If you like cheese Philadelphia do some great recipes with their low fat cheese. Keep fit and not over weight if possible.

The best recipes for lowering cholesterol? Base your cereals on oats, keep your carbohydrates to a minimum - bread, pasta and rice - have plenty of fruit and vegetables, keep your sugar intake down - keep sweets, chocolate, cakes, biscuits etc., as a treat - eat fruit rather than drink fruit juices (too much fruit sugar isn't good) just have your breakfast juice. Your intake of meat and fish doesn't have to change but watch your intake of processed food. Too much manufactured sugar and fats are not good. With this as your mantra you should be able to "tweek" your favourite recipes to suit.

Of course, whatever, you eat, exercise is a must. Walk for at least an hour a day, at a good and comfortable pace, do it for pleasure not a chore.

Does this help? It is what I have been doing for several years now, and, touch wood, I seem to be doing something right. Best wishes to you.

I take your point. 3180 doesn't specify drugs or lifestyle changes.

I'm with patch 14 on this. Cut out the processed carbohydrates, but don't go too low fat or your body may not be absorbing fat soluble vitamins.
