Hi I experienced numbness and twitching in my right cheek yesterday so I went to urgent care. The Dr tested my movements said I was fine and looked symmetrical. I still wanted her to prescribe the meds so she did however the pharmacy was closed. I have been waiting for more change as the dr had said to anticipate. Today I woke up and I still look normal. How long did it take for Bells Palsy to kick in?

sorry to hear what is happening to you. When I had Bells Pallsy, it kicked in very quickly. I didn’t have numbness and twitching. I recall my mouth dropped on one side. I did the Face Arms Speech Time to Act test, but could still lift arms. Saw Dr who confirmed it was Bells Pallsy. Never heard of it until I got it. Hope you are Ok. Love Yellow Wellies x
Hi Syg03chris6- - a very warm welcome to you, thank you for finding your way to the Changing Faces community here! It sounds like the last few days have been difficult for you and you've got a lot to process and understandably you're feeling a bit nervous about it all. It's important to keep taking care of yourself right now as you are navigating what this means and to keep seeking out medical advice about what the next steps would be.
There are members here with all different forms of visible difference, including posts from people with Bell's Palsy. However, it can be surprising how much people with a different type of condition can connect with you over shared thoughts or worries.
I hope you find this a helpful and safe place to hear from others and share your thoughts about this part of your journey.
Take care,
Eva - ChangingFaces
