I’ve got an osteoma, a benign bone growth, sitting on my right eyebrow. I’ve had it for about 6 years. It just seemed to come out of nowhere! It’s grown. Before it was just me that noticed it. Now it’s noticed by strangers, and I’ve recently had people comment on it. To be honest, the last 6 years it hasn’t really bothered me. But increasingly it is now. I wondered if anyone else has an osteoma and how they feel about it?

Hello ObsessiveQuilter and welcome to the Changing Faces Community! Thank you for sharing your journey with osteoma. It sounds like you've been through a lot recently dealing with other people's reactions which must have been challenging and also processing how the physical changes to your appearance are affecting you emotionally.
Hopefully, sharing your thoughts and experiences here with other members of the forum that are able to relate or have been through something similar would be helpful. In the meantime, I wonder if it would be helpful to think or share, if you feel able to, what do you do in the moment when you are feeling the discomfort of receiving comments by others and what would be helpful for you in those moments?
I'm also including a link to the coping with people's reactions page on the Changing Faces website, just in case you want to read it as it includes some self-help resources and real stories that people have shared with us changingfaces.org.uk/advice...
