Albinism/skin conditions coping skills
Yeah, same, I have psoriasis all over my face. I just get angry, simple as that. No coping just pure anger. Increasingly ive taken to just calling people out like telling them to get lost or just staring back with a pissed off look. Pretty stupid and comical really. The only plus is I would say is with each passing year I care less about people in general, including their judgment on my skin, as I realize just how horrendous, messed up, and beneath contempt the general population is.
Hello Mattyf28 and welcome to the Changing Faces community. It is really awful when people behave rudely towards you because you have a visible difference. Being angry is one of the many emotions that lots of our clients tell us that they experience when other people stare, make comments and basically treat them with a lack of respect. So, you are certainly not alone in feeling angry. I'm glad to find that other members of the forum have replied in your support and of course we all know that there is more to you than how you look. You can have a look at our self-help guides at changingfaces.org.uk/advice... where we offer skills to help you cope.
Kind regards,
