UTIs and Chronic urinary retention
To alleviate this I have been doing intermittent self
catheterisation
for about 6 months now which results in frequent UTIs It seems my body has now become resistant to most antibiotics that treat this.

To radiate or not to radiate?
My metastatic prostate diagnosis was established three years ago by biopsy (Gleason 9) and PMSA that showed "innumerable osseous lesions" throughout my skeleton. I was started on ADT and initially responded well. However, my PSA has now risen to 0.7. So my oncologist ordered a repeat PET/PMSA that

That together with the Aluril bladder washes and the intermittent self
catheterisation
should stave off the UTIsā. Fingers crossed š¤ They are going to be testing my poo and I will have 2 nuclear PET scans a week apart to check the function of my bowel.

Pulsed field ablation procedure info
I am scheduled for an ablation on the 31st of May. I am having so many thoughts about what will be done such as: Will someone have to shave my nether regions to put the ports in my groin? What if I have to urinate during the hours spent on my back in recovery, or will I be catheterized? How invasive

Living with a Suprapubic Catheter
Until then nurses used intermittent urethral
catheterisation
. I was due to be discharged from hospital soon, and because I have very little use of my hands, intermittent self-
catheterisation
would have been impossible.

Frequent blocked catheters
Hi everyone My husband is 6/7 years into MSA condition. Just wondered if I could ask if anyone has experienced any major problems with frequent blocked catheters. My husband was given an indwelling catheter nearly 12 months ago as he could not self intermittent catheterise anymore. The first 6 months

self catheterization
I'm 8 days away from completing my 45 radiation treatment. The side effects have not been pleasant but now the beam is more focused on the prostate. I am having a problem emptying my bladder and for the last week have been unable to sleep for more than 2 hrs at a time without waking to pee. My Dr. recommended

Update after cardiac catheterization.
First a BIG THANK YOU for all the advice and support. I felt you with me every step of the way. The catheterization showed no narrowing of the major cardiac arteries. But head cardiologist came and said all my symptoms were classic heart attack and clearly something was blocked...so i have a bucket
