UTIs and Chronic urinary retention

hi everyone

Im looking for some support here from other guys who may be suffering or suffered from this.

I am at the end of my tether with the NHS and I really cannot get a diagnosis of what is the matter with me. It was first diagnosed as BPH and I take 10mg of Alfusozin for this. But my bladder won’t empty properly and is holding up to 1 litre. To alleviate this I have been doing intermittent self catheterisation for about 6 months now which results in frequent UTIs

It seems my body has now become resistant to most antibiotics that treat this.

I’m waiting for visual urodynamics as I’m told there’s a blockage somewhere but can’t tell where - but this appointments to see a clinician isn’t til April!

I could go on and on! But I just need to see if anyone else has suffered this or has any advice. I’m not old, 50, I’m in good shape and healthy, so I’m not seen as a priority but I fear this condition is just getting worse and impacting me physically and mentally

A suprapublic catheter would drain your bladder but there might be preferable solutions (healthunlocked.com/simonfou...
