Update after cardiac catheterization.

First a BIG THANK YOU for all the advice and support. I felt you with me every step of the way. The catheterization showed no narrowing of the major cardiac arteries. But head cardiologist came and said all my symptoms were classic heart attack and clearly something was blocked...so i have a bucket full of pills and follow up appointments over the next 2 weeks...and forever.

I am so grateful to have got the early warning. If you have a severe chest, shoulder, arm, neck pain of sudden onset please don't ignore it..even if it passes quickly.

It feels nothing like pmr...it is sudden and grabs you in a moment and is very very painful. Mine was one sided.

Now home and sorting out all the tabs...and then plan a day's sleep and back to work! Doc said just got on with life as before.

Btw they gave an extra 5mg on my 2mg pred...and told me they had hydrocortisone if needed.

The care was wonderful...but hospital is still a den of tortures.. permanent bright lights, incessant beeping, waking you whenever you fall asleep, lousy food and all sorts of lurking pathogens.

Great to be home!

Hugs to everyone

Glad to hear you are home -and yes be grateful for an early warning and that you were sensible enough to act on it -many don’t…

Take care - and don’t be in too much of rush to get back to normal… Get on with life yes… but it was still a warning 😊

well done. You have successfully battled hospital nasties……although its many years since I trained I still feel cardiac advances have been huge

You're right the medications available are a real game changer. So grateful to have them.

I think the procedures are even more significant.

Bit of a mind body struggle going on here. But I think I have to give in to my body...which really wants to curl up and go to sleep. Thank you...i am trying.

Take a leaf out of the natural world … any animal instinctively know that to recover from illness it needs sleep… some of us humans seem to have forgotten that 💤 🌸

so glad you are on the road to recovery.

I had my HA in May and I never thought it would happen to me, but it’s a warning and we need to heed it.

Best wishes for the future💐

That was my first thought with the pain...this can't be happening to me...I eat well and I have always been very fit....prior to PMR.

It takes a bit of mental readjustment ....

I guess you are also now on loads of tablets and follow ups...do private message me if you want to,
