Endarterectomy
Just had 1 year duplex scan after my
carotid
endarterectomy
and expected the vessel to be clear. Scanning operative drew pic for my surgeon showing some residual disease on scar site. I was shocked and terrified after all I have been through. Has anyone else experience to impart?

Carotid endarterectomy
Yesterday (4 July) he had a telephone appointment with a vascular consultant to discuss the possibility of a
carotid
endarterectomy
. The consultant has said that it could be done early September. To me, this seems a long time to wait.

Something Seems Off With my Smartwatch Heart rate Readings
I was given an IPhone Smart Watch for Christmas, but just started using it, the past couple of months. My question is with the accuracy of the heart rate readings. I usually wait at least 1 & 1/2 hours, after taking my Cartia, before I start a brisk 35-60 min. walk. Sometimes, my heart rate will register

Recovery from TIA
Please excuse any and all mistakes, I make whilst writing this post, as have just had a TIA, followed by an endarterectomy and was discharged from hospital last night. Was,speaking to the staff in the discharge lounge at Manchester Royal Infirmary and they said that I should think of it as a second chance

Chlopidogrel concerns
Hello, I’ve regularly taken daily Chlopidogrel since 2008 for a blocked left
carotid
artery (
endarterectomy
2008). I’ve never had a TIA. A friend had very heavy bleeding whilst taking Chlopidogrel and was on hospital.

Chlopidogrel concerns
I’ve taken Chlopidogrel since 2008 when I had an
endarterectomy
for a left blocked
carotid
artery. I’d never had a TIA before or since. For a long time I’ve been concerned with taking this Chlopidogrel and have mentioned this to my GP’s on several occasions.

Femoral Iliac Artery Endarterectomy Outcome
I am awaiting the above procedure. Until the onset of PAD which came as a surprise I was an active cyclist albeit at age 79. I am anxious to learn of the outcome of this op and whether I can expect a successful return to my pre-diagnosis position. Or does have an effect on mobility.

Cartoid Endarterectomy
Does anybody know whether someone who has had a Cartoid Endarterectomy is vulnerable to the Coronavirus and should not go out?

Not sure if I had a heart attack
I had my 3rd ablation in March 2018 and all has been well for about 1.5 years. In October flutter/afib came back with a vengeance. Extreme anxiety, atrial beat up to 300 maybe 50% of the time, fatigue. Then mid-October, in the middle of the night feeling generally awful and unable to sleep, Had no pain

Hi 👋 I’m new to the site :)
I was diagnosed with S.L.E - APS - Raynauds at 18 I’m now 29! I wish I’d known about this page years ago. I wouldn’t have felt so alone. When I was first diagnosed I was suffering with blood clots in my legs as well as joint pains miscarriages. Swollen lymph nodes. Butterfly rash and enlarged kidneys

Looking for advice on EP visit and next steps
Hi all, It's been quite a long time since my first post -- almost 2 years. I had my first non-converting episode of AF back in July 2017 when I was 27 years old, in which I eventually needed cardioversion to get converted back to sinus rhythm. I've since been on 120mg Cartia XT (diltiazem) extended release

Does Hydroxurea give you nightmares?
Hello Lovely members, I have ET ( JAK2 ), aged 56 and for 9 years just took I Cartia per day (1/2 aspirin) as level was around 900. This year, I had an atypical stroke/seizure whilst asleep (after forgetting to take the Cartia) which showed up clearly on an MRI, so I started Hydroxurea (Hydrea) at 1

EDoxaban & Aspirin
I have recently been put on Aspirin 75mg after
carotid
endarterectomy
to clear a blockage in my
carotid
artery. How dangerous is this & is it likely I need to remain on both ?

Aspirin & Edoxaban after surgery
I recently had a
carotid
endarterectomy
& but back on my edoxaban and aspirin added. Surely this has a risk of bleeding & is it likely to affect the healing process as clotting is part of the healing process? Anyone able to comment please.
