Pulmonary embolism

I have two large blood clots, one in each lung, pulmonary embolism. I was in hospital for two days and had heparin injections. I have not seen a doctor since. My blood pressure tablets were stopped. I was on blood thinners following a stroke but these have been changed.

I feel I should be getting clot busting drugs and don’t know much about it. Is anyone out there who has this? I would love to hear from them

I had bilateral pulmonary embolism a few years ago and nowadays I am fine and I had dragged myself into a and e as I was worried as I was short of breath and I had a chest X-ray and a ct scan and was told they were admitting me overnight as I had blood clots in my lungs in the respiratory ward and they let me go the following dinnertime along with a xarelto prescription 2 x 15mg for 21 days and after that 20mg a day which I am still on and I am doing fine and physically I was fine a few days after I had started treatment but mentally it was more challenging though.

In a and e the nurse had given me a heparin injection after the blood test for blood clots had come back abnormal to stop it from getting bigger and then I had my CT scan and after that got the news about the blood clots.

I did call at a and e a few months later and the respiratory ward to say thank you to the staff whilst I was on a walk near the hospital.

I am so pleased you replied to me and gave exactly the same as me. I've been sitting here frightened on my own incase it happens again. I'm filling in a form for a help call alarm for round my neck as I was too breathless to reach the phone. But if you're ok I will be ok too.mim a bag of nerves, my medication decreases after 21 days too. Thankyou so much for helping put me at ease.
