obvious question is: Have you spoken to a medic about it? How long have you had them?

I wish you well.

wow. Can understand that. How about making the 1st move? Get hold of GP at least. Did they give you a contact when you were discharged?

Hello Frances, what has your doctor said about any treatment for the blood clots? I do hope you have medical support. Xxx

I was in hospital because I couldn’t breathe. They put me on blood thinners.I came home on the third day

Hi Frances999, I'm guessing that you are taking medical advice for this condition as you know already that you have blood clots in your lungs, but as both sassy59 and fenbadger also say, it's imperative to be under the care of a medical professional for this so seek help urgently if not.

You are right to be concerned. You've probably been told that the danger from this is one of the blood vessels in your lungs becoming blocked and causing a pulmonary embolism, so usually treatment is given by way of clot busting drugs called thrombolytics. You should take all the advice you are given by your doctors to help you to stay as safe and well as possible.

This community probably isn't generally speaking that knowledgable about your specific condition and happy as we are to have you here for as long as you wish, you may be able to find more help and support from others in this same situation by joining the Lung Foundation forum at HealthUnlocked. This link will take you to their page:

I hope that you can find the support and reassurance you are looking for, and if any of our Care members do have knowledge of this condition, I'm sure they will happily support you too.

Take good care and stay safe.
