As I have few medical conditions I was wondering if I could claim carers allowance for myself.that way I can pay some one to come in and help me around the house.

Annette carers allowance for myself.
Not sure you can claim carers allowances but should try for attendance allowance
I would fill in the forms for Attendance Allowance and see what happens. Good luck I hope that you are successful so that you can pay someone to help you.
You need to make sure you fill it out to your benefit age concern will help uf if you're having problems
Hi Carers Allowance is claimed by the person who is looking after you and not by yourself. However there are different allowances you can claim for from the DHSS dependant on your age.
I thought attendance allowance has now stopped for new claimants.... please correct me if iam wrong..... I think you could claim pip personal independent benefit..... if you have a close friend that could provide care around the house they would have to claim carers allowance themselves..
Depends how old u are, think pip only goes to 65, after that it's attendance allowance
Thank you mydexter will have a look.
Thank you.
My daughter received backdated carers allowance without me knowing how can I stop it ?
