September is World Alzheimer’s Month

Afternoon everyone, we thought it might be useful to bring your attention to World Alzheimer’s Month this September. If you or a loved one is suffering, just know you aren’t alone. Every September Alzheimer’s Disease International aim to raise global awareness, reducing the stigma and improving the lives of people with dementia and their carers in your community.

The less we talk about dementia, the more the stigma will grow! But if everyone comes together and talks, the more impact the associations will have, creating a stronger position to influence decision makers and governments.

You can learn more about getting involved, and seeing what events are on around you here: alz.co.uk/world-alzheimers-...

Thanks for the reminder. I think the major problem in promoting interest in Alzheimers is that it's not really even on the radar of many younger people, even though a proportion of younger people can be affected by it, personally or in helping to care with a sufferer. So anything that forces it into the spotlight has got to be a positive thing.
