Leave her there lol,

Did she live alone before going into hospital? Does she need a care home?

No my brother in law lives with her and me and my husband live next door to her, she doesn't need a care home.

Fare enough, plenty of hands, I hope all goes well.

Hi Juliecook1,

Welcome and I'm sure you'll find you've come to the right place. The majority of people here are so supportive.

You're doing a great thing in thinking ahead and getting support in place ahead of time, as caring is always challenging, and best done with help from any source you can find.

The administrator of this group, MAS_Nurse gives amazingly good advice and is a mine of useful information, and the rest of us are here to lean on when things aren't going so well. And of course we too can give some advice, based on our own experiences, though some, including my own, needs to be evaluated for accuracy as we don't always get it all right!

If I was to give just one piece of advice for the coming days, it would be, "don't forget to look after yourself too". A tired and overwrought carer isn't of much use to anyone. So anyway, good luck for the challenging but personally rewarding task you are going to undertake.
