Cardioversion?
Hi all, I know there is a lot of information available about
cardioversion
but I would be interested in people's experiences of this procedure as I've been advised to have it.

Is there a “recovery sheet” on what to do/not do after a cardioversion.
had first
cardioversion
in December 2024, which lasted 5 days. Next
cardioversion
is booked for next Thursday, hospital advice was rest for 24 hours, no alcohol or caffeine, no driving. After 48 hours back to normal. Any suggestions to try and prolong sinus rhythm would be appreciated

I’m considering a
cardioversion
as I’m to the point I will try anything to get my heart back into NSR but wondering if anyone here has had a
cardioversion
for arrhythmias other then Afid and if so, did it help?

ablation followed by cardioversion
Had
cardioversion
in March (St Richards Chichester). Worked for less than a day. Had ablation in London in June. Started to improve but reverted back. Now EP proposes
Cardioversion
to see if that works. Does anyone have experience of this. ( I’m not holding out much hope!)

Cardioversion
Three hours after a
cardioversion
and all good so far, cross me fingers tightly, keeping me maintained on sotalol for six weeks to hopefully, give it time to remember the rhythm.

DC Cardioversion
So, good people, I would appreciate any feedback from those who have had DC
Cardioversion
. What was the whole experience like? Did it stop your AF? If so, for how long? Was it worth it? Thank you. I really appreciate it

I had a
cardioversion
about 3 weeks ago for Atrial flutter- it didn't work . when I had my heart scan it picked up moderate to severe hf , not sure if I'm going to get another
cardioversion
or a ablation.

First Cardioversion
Taking Edoxoban for last few months and they have advised I come off beta blocker the day before so heart rate doesn’t go too low after the
cardioversion
. Thanks Update- I had my
cardioversion
yesterday. I was really emotional walking to the Cath lab but everyone put me at ease.

Five days in NSR after
cardioversion
is a hopeful sign for me. (3 ablations and 4 cardioversions). But today Im gettting ectopic beats. I know we’re not supposed to think they mean anything but of course Im worried its a sign of the
cardioversion
about to fail. any hints on calming them?

Problems after cardioversion
I had a successful
cardioversion
three days ago and I am still in sinus rhythm with a heart rate of 48. A year ago, I had breathing problems which were resolved quickly with digoxin.

amiodorone first time
had successful
cardioversion
which lasted almost 2 years with the aid of flecainide ~ now back in AF and
cardioversion
arranged but amiodorone is to be used beforehand- I’m very put off by the side affects of this drug - am I over re- acting ?

can I fly less than a week after a cardioversion
I have been given a date for a
cardioversion
,which I’m really happy about but we will be flying to Majorca 5 days later. Should I ask to postpone the
cardioversion
or will it be ok?

Post cardioversion
Hubby had his
cardioversion
yesterday. One zap and it worked, he felt tired but fine. Forward to today and his pulse is 40-47. If he walks round the house and does something it goes up to 65-70. He says it doesn't feel right but not sure if he should contact cardio department. Any help please?

How long do people take to feel ‘normal’ after a
cardioversion
? I will be driving for a good few hours for each break away and wonder how long should I wait after my
cardioversion
before driving long distances. Thanks in advance for any advice.

return of the ectopic
Never ever has a
cardioversion
worked longer than a week😌 But three nights ago the ectopic beats returned. 5 per minute. In the afternoon and evenings. So searching for a positive story.

hi, I had my first
Cardioversion
at St Richards Chichester on 11th March. (First diagnosed early January but probably been in AF since Sept) It worked initially but reverted to AF very shortly after.
