HI there wowwwwwww that sounds very scary a little like my experience from a drug i can not remember now. I am not familiar with this medication ,but Ive been tried an many different ones and i remember one gave me a thumping headache and i couldn't walk for my balance i threw them in the bin and blasted the Dr the next day .If I was you i would stop taking them if your sure that's what is causing your problem .Dont keep taking something if you cant function .Best of luck .
I sympathise Findingthingshard. I’ve had this a few times. The first was diagnosed as Labyrinthitis and the second Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo. Both times the immediate treatment is Prochlorperazine from the docs, but you can ask your pharmacist for an over the counter drug similar - they will know what you want. Please Google BPPV and go to the NICE guidelines for this and armed with this information see your doc again. Also see Brain and Sound Foundation website DO NOT worry that I’m saying you’ve had a stroke!!!
Sorry in my reply Brain and Spine Foundation.
Hello , I have tinnitus and episodes of giddiness or dizziness too. I have suspected Meneries disease accompanying the tinnitus so know roughly how your feeling .
Go tell your doctor about the dizziness . I have been prescribed a tablet called “ Prochlorperazine” and they help to take the dizzy spells away .
You will sort it out, I promise there is light at the end of the tunnel .
I am so sorry to hear about how you are feeling. I was prescribed Betahistine and it also made me feel quite ill every time I took it. I would wake up every morning with a severe headache and sinus pain to the point where I felt as though I was about to have a nose bleed. I decided to stop this medication and return to the doctors who prescribed Prochlorperazine instead.
As everyone has said here, please do some research if you can do so. I appreciate this may not be easy due to how your feeling at the moment. Go back to your doctor armed and ready with the information on what you think is going on and how they can help you to get better. You definitely need to discuss your ongoing symptoms further to get the help you need. I hope that you do and that you feel better soon.
May also be worth talking to or seeing a chiropractor who specialises in inner ear crystals. My uncle was diagnosed with Labyrinthitis by GP and was constantly feeling dizzy and being sick. He had one adjustment and it sorted it out. This website has info about the inner ear crystals:
please research vitamin D. Vitamin D cured me of vertigo, but it's also good for Menieres, and most people are deficient. there are scientific research articles on this.
