Acupuncture Anyone?

Hello Everyone,

Has anyone tried acupuncture to relieve their tinnitus and if so how did you get on? Did you have any relief and if so to what degree and for how long?

I look forward to reading your thoughts and views.

Many thanks,

Thanks, Suji. If I do give it a go I,'ll post here. Trouble is some of the treatments I read about are so expensive for no result.

Hi, I tried it for 3 weeks done nothing for me.also tried chiropractor for 3 months now and has done nothing only helped posture.

I tried it in the early panic stage, no joy for me either .

It’s good to try things out (within reason) though. She was the one who asked me if I wanted to get better, that question turned out to be an important step in changing the way I looked at things. Sometimes the result isn’t what you expect but it might still be worth it!

There's been an interesting meta-analysis of acupuncture studies (so, a study of the research). The jury is out a bit - studies conducted in China show acupuncture helps tinnitus, studies conducted elsewhere don't ...

Which probably doesn't answer your question!

Thanks Nic. I guess it's about finding a coping strategy and keeping with it. I'll probably give it a go anyway. Thanks,

I have somatic tinnitus heavily influenced neck and jaw movement. I tried both acupuncture and electric acupuncture. Zero effect on the screech I’m afraid. Similarly chiropractic adjustment of jaw and neck have done nothing. Unfortunately even though in my case the initial onset was caused by nerve damage in my neck I think science is now coming to the conclusion my noise is now stored in my DCN and no amount of using my body as a pin cushion is going to debug my broken brain.

Thanks Knoll. You brought a smile to my face with the analogy to a pin cushion.🙂

Yes i tried it, didn't do anything for me, just made my pocket lighter, but it's worth trying anything, that might help you.
