Hello everyone. I havnt been on here in a while after losing my detest mum at Christmas and going back to work. I had my fibro scan yesterday and it’s gone up to 7.2 from 5.2 in two years. I have to wait until my phone appointment with my consultant next week. The nurse who scanned me said anything above 7 suggests there is scarring. I’m not panicking but just wondering if anyone has a score around that number and what it may mean to the condition of my Liver. Thank you and love to all xx 😘

Hi Dibby, the auto immune conditions have only recently had their scoring bars added to the Fibroscan interpretation guides (newer chart attached). It would appear based on this newer chart that PBC is F0-F1 up to 9 kPa there after it goes up to F2 around 9 kPa, F3 around 11 kPa & F4 from about 17 kPa. Obviously also all depends on your other ongoing bloods etc. etc.

All the best,

Katie

Hi Katie, Do you know if hematochromatosis would be considered auto-immune category on this chart?

Thank you,

Calimom

Haemochromatosis doesn't have a bar on either this chart nor the earlier one - as a usually genetic condition it isn't auto immune.I'd be led on whatever a doctor tells you as regards your condition.
