I recently posted about my weight loss in NAFLD and am worried I may have gone too fast. I see that losing weight too quickly in this condition can actually make the NAFLD worse!!
Perhaps I am obsessing however I have lost around 6kg over 6 weeks. Does anyone know the longer term consequences of too rapid a weight loss in NAFLD as I cannot see any literature anywhere in this regard.

I don't know the answer to your question. I would say that a general rule of thumb is that 2lb a week (which would equate to around 1kg a week) is a healthy rate of loss, but on the higher side if you do not have a lot of weight to lose. If you have a lot of weight to lose then it's just fine but you probably don't want to go faster. My comments are based on my general knowledge of health and fitness, not specifically in relation to NAFLD where different criteria may apply. My instinct is that you are doing just fine. Bear in mind that the rate of weight loss does tend to reduce over time so you may naturally slide into a slightly lower rate which might make you feel more comfortable.
