Secondary symptoms

Hello folks.

I try not complain about living with this disease, it is what it is, but it's bloody tough at times, and the secondary symptoms really piss me off occasionally.

I take lactulose which generally keeps my digestive system ticking over quite reasonably. Tonight for whatever reason things are refusing to play nicely. I've spent the last two hours bent double and occasionally sobbing from excruciating abominable pain. I've taken an extra dose which has eased the pain a little. You can't help but think sometimes "on top of everything else, this is just bloody unfair."

That was meant to be "abdominal" pain but I'm happy to defer to autocorrect on this one! 😄

Hello NericoNice to meet you. I totally understand how you feel, I was disgusted with liver failure, decompasted and cirrhosis in April this year.

I have abstained from alcohol and general feel great and positive and also feel my rock bottom saved my life .

The only thing holding me back is the fact I have osteoporosis and arthritis in my legs so I am in agony constantly which contributed to me self medicating with alcohol.

Somedays I just get really hacked off with life and just want the ability to be able to walk to the shop or walk my dogs without being in pain.

It taken me a while to accept that I have completely abused my body for so long and now I'm trying to sort the things I needed to instead of masking them.

Hello both, nice to meet you, I am in pain at the moment with osteoporosis arthritis plus all the other added agonies cirrhosis brings. I am very depressed ,trying not to cry. I do the best I can & really can't do more.
