How did you find out you had liver disease?

Still trying to get a diagnosis. Fatigue right quadrant sorness. Appetite is back but still have nausea. Had a bloody nose which is unusual for me. Missed 2 periods. Lft cbc and 2 ultrasounds came back normal. Slightly elevated bilirubin direct .02

Mine was discovered due to me going doctors because I was knackered constantly. Done blood tests then passed on to hospital seen a heptalogist who tested for everything even hiv, next appointment i was informed i had liver disease and it went from there. Hope you get answers soon and its positive, good luck.

Have you been checked for Gastritis or any stomach/gut issues? generally Ultrasound wont miss Cirrhosis, but some early reversible damage it may not see. You could get a Fibroscan, its a better scan.

Hi Ralph,

Ive got cirhossis and portal hypertensive gastritis but despite being blinded by science looking it up on Google, just wondered in easy to understand terms if you knew more about gastritis. Just had my outpatient appointment with gastroenterologist cancelled so I can't ask him and my GP less than helpful.

I had no symptoms or pains whatsoever. In fact life was going along nicely until 9. March 2013 when I began to be violently sick it was blood I had Oesophagus Varices. Things went downhill from then and have never improved

Have you stopped drinking alcohol entirely?

Yes Bolly I have stopped. Still have this bruised feeling with fatigue. I just feel like the 2 ultrasounds aren't reliable
