Monoclonal antibody infusion for covid?

I'm on Zepatier for Hep C. Managed to get a very nasty case of pneumonia just after starting that and was hospitalised including ICU for 10 days. I've been out of hospital for 6 weeks now and was starting to feel better. Then I came down with what I thought was a cold earlier this week and I tested positive for covid last night.

I reported the covid to the liver team. They did not make it clear I was going to be referred to a covid team but I have been rung out of the blue to be offered Xevudy infusion (can't take Paxlovid tablets due to the Zepatier).

It's all a bit unclear as to whether I should take them up on this offer. I asked them if they or the liver team were advising me to have it - they said it was up to me. But they're not going to offer me an expensive antibody infusion unless they really think I should have it, are they? I'm not sure why I feel some reluctance (apart from the sheer inconvenience surrounding the location of the clinic and time needed given how tired I am already feeling) but I really don't need covid getting into my lungs.

Has anyone had the infusion? Thoughts? Experiences?

In the end what did you do, did you undergo the infusion? Sorry fore reviving an old topic, but im curious? Some data: Monoclonal Antibodies, generally, these do not have significant interactions with DAAs because they are not metabolized by the liver in the same way as small molecule drugs. However, careful consideration is still warranted, particularly with drugs that might affect immune function or inflammatory responses.

Yes, I did undergo the infusion. They said I could not have the normal Covid anti-viral tablets because of the DAAs I was taking for the Hep C, but that the antibody infusion was safe. I was still in pretty bad shape from the pneumonia so did not want Covid to muck things up. I had no side effects from the infusion and after 2 days was testing negative for Covid on a lateral flow. I'm glad I had it.
