nose bleed

was rushed to hospital 2weeks ago for pneumonia. Was discharged after a week. Wasn’t home 24 hrs. And out of the blue my nose started bleeding. It hasn’t stopped. Has this happened to anyone else and what did the doctors do to stop it?

Dear Daytym,

This is a question that your own health care professional is best placed to answer, as only they have access to your medical records.

We suggest talking this through with your own doctor or health care professional in the first instance.

Best wishes

Hi this happened to me too, was taken to hospital by ambulance because of a nose bleed that wouldn’t stop. They cauterised my nose and I’ve had no reoccurrence so although scared at the time it was a relatively easy treatment. Good luck wishing you all the best.

Thanks. They cauterize my nose last night. But that still leaves the question of why. My hemoglobin is down. Getting a transfusion now.
