Was it varices that burst? How recent is 'just come back from hospital'?
If you've had variceal banding it can take a few day to tolerate hard food as it can be painful for a good few days.
As regards your naan bread (and other foods) watch the salt content. Having cirrhosis you need a diet with little salt to prevent ascites (fluid build up).

I’d agree with this. I’ve been trying to keep my salt under 3g per day (even counting vegetables etc) even although I’ve thankfully never had ascites or oedema. And when I do have bread it’s wholemeal sourdough or homemade wholemeal flatbread which I believe have better carbs than white bread. If I really liked garlic naan, I’d maybe look at a homemade wholemeal version with zero salt.
Burst 17 days ago, been home 7,Doc today says all ok,tablets to reduce my heart beat to reduce pressure, food wise he said all ok but keep it balanced, occasional fried egg chips ect will only be once or less a week
Have they scheduled a repeat endoscopy for you? Having had one bleed already they should repeat your scope fairly early just to check that no more are showing any danger signs. My hubby underwent scopes every 6 - 12 weeks in first couple of years of his diagnosis after his initial bleed and he had 42 varices banded. Hubbies consultant said beta blockers not as effective in someone who had already bled so went the aggressive banding route till all varices eradicated. He only had an annual endoscopy now just to check on things.
It's not your circulatory/heart blood pressure which has caused the varices or bleed it's portal veinous pressure. In plain speak your liver deals with a lot of blood flowing through it every minute, in a normal healthy liver this passes through with no blockages. But, when you have cirrhosis and damage to the liver it blocks the passage of this blood and it tries to redirect itself leading to a backing up of blood/portal veinous pressure. This redirected blood tries to find alternative passages round the body often ending up in smaller blood vessels (such as those in your stomach lining, digestive tract) which were never designed to carry such volumes and this then bulges the blood vessels walls which is what a varices is. The blood vessel wall gets stretched sometimes to bursting and that's when you have a bleed.
Balanced healthy diet is the way to go, no need to go full on 'rabbit food' as you do need protein and carbs. Less sugar, salt are good too.
