Does anyone know if this can be treated. The GP said to come for a blood test. I'm an the liver clinic again in 2 weeks and hoped it could be eased sooner.

To my knowledge there I'd nothing to treat it, it will naturally reduce as your bilirubin levels reduce. When the bilirubin levels in the blood get too high, usually as a result of reduced liver function, the excess bilirubin "spills" out into skin and eyes. It will fade as the levels reduce so whatever you have been advised to do to support your liver and reducing stress on it, whether that is medication, reducing alcohol or improving diet, keep doing it.

I don't think you can do anything, just follow doctor advice, it will clear.

all you can do is follow your Dr’s advice. This is one of those things that takes time along with Attention to the advice of your professionals.

Apparently keeping well hydrated can help a little, plenty of water. Otherwise just keep doing all the good things you need to do to help your liver along 🙂

I was hospitalised early last year with jaundice and ascites, both went after about 1 month following my release and I truly believe that was down to my diet which included zero alcohol as that’s what caused my liver problems in the first-place and cutting out all junk food, processed foods and of course lowering my sodium and sugar intake, something I’ve stuck to since.

You just have to follow what your doctor says and try and stick to a healthy well balanced diet that is based around your own liver health/condition that works best for you. Hopefully in time it will go away naturally of its own accord, good luck.

Thanks. I think my as cities has come back so I think it's linked. I will see when I go to the hospital in a weeks time. I follow the diet, take the 3 Ronapro shots and try to follow the dieticians sheets but I guess there is room for improvement. Have a good night. Stay well.

Oh sorry your ascites has returned, it’s definitely linked, I started going yellow first then the ascites thing happened, I didn’t even know what it was I thought I just had a beer belly. You need to speak to your doctor ASAP, good luck and fingers crossed you get seen to and everything improves for you.
