Just had my fibroscan today and he gave me results there and then which I wasn't expecting but really appreciated. He said my KPa score is 7.7, and CAP score of 179 indicating some fibrosis but is reversible. Thus seems to me good news- yes? Any thoughts? Thanks

I had my first fibroscan 3 years ago and it showed fatty liver on my transplanted liver on my way to cirrhosis again. That scared the life outa me so I dropped 80 lbs and stuck to a strict Mediterranean diet. I completely reversed it with diet / exercise and now all my numbers are perfect.
Thanks for your reply and it's great to hear your achievements. So far I've lost 32 pounds and hopefully will continue to do so as I've changed my diet and increased my exercise. Good to hear we can make positive changes.Jo
Congratulations on your 7.7 kpa. Depending on the source of the liver problem, that sounds like zero to mild fibrosis. Katie (AyrshireK) has posted one on this site here:
Thank you for your kind words and the link which I've just read. I've not seen any consultants yet, only my GP. I've been told I've got a benign tumour on /in my liver ( found by an ultrasound) and then sent for the fibroscan) I'm assuming the cause has several factors:Obesity, alcohol, diet, inflammatory arthritis medication.
So far, I've lost 32 pounds, now stopped drinking completely and had my meds changed. But I've no definitive reason as identified by a consultant, but my GP has told me what hasn't caused it. However, I plan to carry on with these changes to continue improving my health.
