Panicking like crazy!
I’m afraid the only advice we can give is to see your GP, everyone’s liver is different and it’s impossible for us to say if you have damaged yours. Some people can drink heavy for 20 years and be completely fine and some unlucky people can drink for 5 years and run into trouble.
Also no one here will judge you, a lot of people here have alcohol related liver disease so a lot of us are in the same boat. How long have you been drinking and would you class it as “heavy”?
I started silly drinking at 15.. but then at 18-27 I was working in magaluff and that involved a lot off heavy drinking it was part of my job.. then I’d say now I only drink
On a weekend because I have a normal job!
Talk to the doc about your drinking too. Over the party years your alcohol consumption may well have caused some damage to your liver so please be honest with the doc about the amount you drink. If you are still drinking it would be wise to stop ( a) to save your liver from deteriorating (b) alcohol can affect fertility (c) alcohol can seriously damage the health of an unborn baby.
Can it effect male infertility too? X
Are both of you still drinking ? Think very carefully before bringing a child into a situation where both parents drink on a regular basis. The dangers and risks are immense and the effect on a growing child seeing both parents drinking is devastating.
Take care ... do the right thing and both stop drinking before you become pregnant.

Just a bit of food for thought ... my husband started drinking at 15 and was dead at 54 ........
Hi Laura me again was wanting to ask was your husband drinking everyday and was he totally relying on it. Also did it matter what he was drinking as long as it was alcohol.
Yes drinking every day. Very secretive about drinking when not at home. Mainly cider after he gave up his job ( which he also lied about) When his works van was returned his boss rang to ask if he had a drink problem as they had found hundreds of the plastic rings which held 6 packs together stuffed under the front seats. I also found out he was drinking vodka disguised in plastic water bottles while he was still a functioning alcoholic. So he was drinking way more than l ever really aware of. But when my son's paper round money was disappearing and over £400 per month was going from the mortgage and bill account every month plus 75% of the cash l gave him to fuel his own vehicle was spent on booze, l realised the enormity of his problem and l had my work cut out sorting all the problems he had created and whats more .. the devastation that was to follow....
I couldn't say but I do think there are many reasons for bruising easily such as anaemia. I think it is worth a visit to the docs to get some blood tests done.
I have lived a similar lifestyle and I am now paying for it. I have been recently diagnosed with (hopefully) stage 1 fatty liver disease, I say hopefully because I’m still going through testing to be sure. I quit all the crazy stuff 7-10 yrs ago but kept the drinking going strong. I think I may have another condition that may have sped up the fat build up so there’s still a good chance that your ok. As stated the best thing to do is really talk to your dr and ask for both blood tests and an ultrasound. Many ppl will say a blood test may be enough but in my case I was getting regular check ups every 6 months to a year and my blood tests are always wonderful besides low vitamin b. The ultrasound showed signs of my fatty liver and I didn’t get the ultrasound my drs would tell me I’m fine and send me out the door. Just make sure you try to push for a test other than just blood. Most everyone I know who lived like I did is doing fantastic so try not to stress too hard until you get the test results and trust me I know not stressing is hard because I’m currently doing it too.
You need to go to dr and get your bloods checked, they can do your hormones at the same time. The bruises could be from anything, it’s not a sign of liver disease, my advice is to cut down on your drinking as that will increase your chance of conception. I don’t want to be too nosy but how long have you been trying? Try to concentrate on a healthy well balanced diet, regular walking outdoors, get your bloods done, and stop worrying! Anxiety alone can stop you conceiving, try to relax ! Good luck, focus on your future baby xx
