So glad you managed to get transplant - I hope all goes well. I have recently been diagnosed with cirrhosis and will probsbly need a transplant.
How long was it from disgnosis to transplant and was there a period of seeing whether the liver might regenetate.
My fibroscan reading was 75 - am I a lost cause for regeneration and is it a matter of getting well enough and hoping for a transplant?
Thank you in anticipation for you reply.
God bless you
When I last come out of hospital with yellow eyes ,skin I stopped drinking they started monitoring me every 2 weeks blooods for a year ,as they did not improve they asked me if I would consider a TP I said yes about 6weeks more I was at my assessment did not get on straight away because of the alchohol abuse but finally convinced them o I would not touch a drop again got on list in may this year got a call last Tuesday had it done on thursday out today all done in a week my ukrld score was 62 you need to be above 50 to qualify for a transplant you could asked them that that’s a lot of different reading all ending up as 1 number uk edl score good look Lon

Hi Ionmallin50 yes the feeling of guilt is there but you must remember that the person who donated would be so pleased that they have saved someone’s life, so please do remember that it would have made them happy 👍.
Stay safe All
