Donor Letter

Today I received the loveliest letter I could have ever wished for from my donor family and have learnt a bit about him and the rest of the family.

He is sadly missed by family and friends and they are so pleased I have written to them and it has given them great comfort.

They hope to keep in touch and I feel so pleased they want to do so🙏

This time last year I had been taken off the transplant list and was in hospital with a terrible infection, having strong IV antibiotics and desperate to get well and get back on the list!

Stay safe😷😍

How lovely for you and for them to know that it went to some one in desperate need to have a good healthy life.

Regards

That's wonderful. I send a card each year (4 now in total) but have never had any contact. I understand that the family may not want any contact so i think you are extremely lucky.x

From what my donors family said it has given them great comfort. I think that is probably the way that most families feel! It must be such a hard letter for them to write and I would have completely understood if they hadn’t written🙏

I am sure you will have the right words🙏
